Arrived on time on Thai Airways at Nagoya Airport just before 8:00am. Changed currency (S$1 = 70Y)
Boarded 9:30am bus bound for Hamamatsu Station where Gerry, Chiaki and Chiyo were waiting.
While Gerry and Chiaki got our bags checked into our service apartment nearby, we had our first true blue Japanese sushi meal at the JR Train Station - superbly fresh and generous slices of sashimi atop soft rice.
We also had our first sample of the famous Hamamatsu Unagi - yum!
Peter, Kim and Alden arrived later that day with presents for all!
